FinAI (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at finai.app and provides a household financial projection tool for informational and educational purposes only. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner.

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the service:

• Account information — name, email address, and hashed password when you create an account.
• Financial inputs — income, savings balances, spending, and other household data you enter into the planner. This data is stored to generate your projections and is never sold or shared with third parties.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number.
• Usage data — page views, feature usage, and anonymized analytics collected via PostHog to improve the product.
• Error reports — crash and error data collected via Sentry to diagnose and fix bugs.

• To generate and store your financial projections and scenarios.
• To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
• To send transactional emails (welcome, trial reminders, billing) via Resend.
• To analyze usage patterns and improve the product (PostHog).
• To diagnose errors and maintain service quality (Sentry).
• To respond to support requests.

We use the following services to operate. Each processes data under their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymized).
• Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics.
• Vercel — website hosting and serverless functions.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the processors listed above, solely to operate the service. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We retain your account and financial data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records). Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand product usage. You can opt out of analytics cookies through the cookie consent banner. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Export — download your financial data in a portable format.
• Opt-out — unsubscribe from non-essential emails or opt out of analytics.

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security in our database. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
